Reuse objects from business processes using copy/paste

You can use custom object links to reuse objects from business processes available in ARIS Architect and ARIS Designer directly in UML diagrams.

Procedure. Procedure

  1. In ARIS Architect or ARIS Designer, copy the object that you want to reuse.

  2. Activate the required diagram in ARIS UML Designer.

  3. Right-click in the diagram background, then click Paste. A frame is displayed for the new object.

  4. Click the relevant position in the diagram. The Reuse objects dialog opens.

  5. Select the required object link in the Type of re-use box.

  6. Click OK. If more than one object symbol is available for the placed object, the Select symbol dialog opens.

  7. Double-click the name of the symbol that you want to use for the reused object.

The object is placed at the relevant position with the symbol you selected.
