Define object links

You can define object links, which you can use to link objects from business processes with UML elements. The procedure below uses the UML element UML2 Class and the object type Function as an example.

Procedure. Procedure

  1. In ARIS Architect, click ARIS > Show Administration Administration. The Administration tab opens.

  2. Click the Link types > Object links entry for the relevant server.

  3. Click New New > Object link definition in the Start tab bar. The Create object link dialog opens.

  4. Click Filter in the Select source type area if the Filter list box is not yet open.

  5. Enter fu. Objects including Function are displayed.

  6. Click the object Function.

  7. Click Filter in the Select target type area if the Filter list box is not yet open.

  8. Enter uml2 c. Objects including UML2 class are displayed.

  9. Click the object UML2 class.

  10. If necessary, in the , enable the rule to be followed when using the object link.

  11. Click OK.

The new object link is created and its properties are displayed in a table.
