Link objects from business processes with UML elements
You can use custom object links to link objects from business processes with UML elements. The procedure below uses the UML element UML2 Class and the object type Function as an example.
Prerequisite
You have read access to the source and target objects and write access to at least one of these objects.
Open the properties of the UML element you want to link with a business process object.
On the Selection tab, enable Reused objects.
Click
Reuse other object. The Reuse object dialog opens.Use the Type of re-use box to select the object link Use object type 'Function' as object type 'UML2 class'.
Click
Browse next to the Objects box. The Select object dialog opens. The check box for the object type Function is already enabled.Enter an asterisk (*) in the Find what box. This ensures that all functions in the database are found, regardless of their name.
Click Start search.
Select the relevant function in the Objects found box, and click OK. The Select object dialog closes and the selected function is entered in the Objects box.
Click OK.
The function is entered on the Reused objects tab.
Click OK. The properties dialog closes.
The selected business process object is re-used in the UML environment.
