Specify nesting type
You can specify in advance how the nesting type is to be specified if there are multiple nesting types for nesting a node in a container element.
Click ARIS > Options > Modeling.
Use the Automatically specify owner property when creating owned elements check box to specify whether the nesting type is set automatically if multiple nesting types are available (check box enabled), or a dialog is shown for you to specify the nesting type yourself each time you nest a node (check box disabled).
Click OK.
Depending on your setting, the nesting type is specified automatically, or a dialog is displayed so that you can select the nesting type whenever you nest a node. When you move the mouse pointer over the nested node in the diagram window or Explorer tree, the nesting type is displayed in the tooltip.
You can change the nesting type later, if required.
