Create definition copy
It makes sense to create a definition copy for an existing object if a new object is to have similar properties to the source object.
Right-click an object and hold down the mouse button.
Move the mouse pointer to the position in the diagram window at which you want to place the definition copy. A preview frame is displayed for the object.
Release the mouse button. A pop-up menu opens.
Click Create definition copy here. If you have made changes without saving, the Copy objects dialog opens and you are ask whether you want to save. If you want changes to be saved without a prompt, enable the Automatically save objects before copying check box.
Click Yes.
The definition copy is created, with the name suffix if required. A definition copy is also created when you copy an object to the clipboard (menu Edit > Copy) and use the Paste function to add it to a diagram (menu Edit > Paste as > Definition copy).
