Configure menu

You can configure menus for the Explorer tree, which you can use to quickly create new diagrams and elements. The procedure described below for elements also applies to diagrams.

Procedure. Procedure
  1. In the Explorer tree, right-click a UML element that can contain model elements or diagrams, e. g., a package.

  2. Click New element > Configure menu. The Configure menu - New element dialog opens.

  3. In the Accessible from dialog box, double-click the entries you want to place in the Accessible from pop-up menu box. They are then provided in the menu.

  4. In the Accessible from pop-up menu box, double-click the entries you want to place in the Accessible from dialog box. These are then no longer provided directly by the menu, but are displayed in the dialog.

  5. Enable the Sort ascending check box to sort the entries in the Elements available in the pop-up menu box alphabetically. If you have enabled the check box, the Up and Down arrows for the Elements available in the pop-up menu box in the Configure menu dialog are locked and the menu items inserted are arranged alphabetically in the list.

Disable the check box and sort the entries using the mouse or the Up Up and Down Down arrows if you specify the order yourself.

  6. Click OK.

The menu is configured for all elements of the selected type and the options are provided in line with your settings. The elements that are placed in the Accessible from dialog box can also be selected without a menu item, for example, by opening the pop-up menu for a package and clicking New element > More. These elements are then provided in the Create element dialog.

You can configure the menu for more element types.
