Lane

A lane is a kind of path, which can be vertical (column) or horizontal (row) in direction. Lanes are used to differentiate areas from one another. In an Activity Diagram, for example, business processes can also be modeled, and lanes can be used to differentiate the Supplier, Trading company, and End customer activity areas from one another. The structuring using lanes itself provides diagram users with information.
