Generate metamodel

You can generate the UML metamodel used in ARIS UML Designer. Thus, all UML metaclasses are available to you as UML classes, allowing you to use them for the modeling of profiles and stereotypes.

Procedure. Procedure

  1. Create a new group in the relevant database and save.

  2. Right-click the group and select Generate UML metamodels. The Generate UML metamodels dialog opens.

  3. Specify which language you want to use for the metamodel elements by enabling the relevant option.

  4. Click OK.

  5. Confirm the completion message by clicking OK.

Metamodel generation creates the packages Base, Primitive types, and UML, containing the elements of the UML metamodel, which you can subsequently reuse.
