Add node and edge symbols

When a diagram is open, you can increase the number of node and edge symbols provided to include the symbols you require.

Procedure. Procedure

  1. Click Add symbols Add symbols in the Symbols bar. The Customize 'Symbols' bar dialog opens. The node and edge symbols are arranged below the names of the diagram types.

  2. In the Available symbols box, double-click the name of the diagram type containing the required node and edge symbols.

  3. Select the node and edge symbols you want to add to the Symbols bar.

  4. Click the Add selected symbols to Symbols bar button. The elements selected are added to the Available in Symbols bar box.

  5. Enable the Sort alphabetically check box if you want the node and edge symbols to be displayed in alphabetic order in the Symbols bar.

  6. Disable the Sort alphabetically check box if you want to customize the arrangement of the node and edge symbols in the Symbols bar. Select the required node or edge symbol and use the Up or Down button to reposition the selected element.

  7. Click OK. The Customize Symbols bar dialog closes.

The selected node and edge symbols are added to the Symbols bar. This change affects all diagrams of the current type.
