What data is versioned?
In general, only diagrams are versioned. For versioning, one or more diagrams can be selected and groups and their subgroups used. All diagrams contained in the groups are then versioned.
If you version the entire content of the main group and its subgroups, this versioning state will contain a complete image of the database.
Use the Versioning Wizard to specify that the following are versioned:
selected diagrams.
selected diagrams and their assignments.
selected diagrams and relationships to diagrams that have not been selected.
selected diagrams whose assignments and relationships to diagrams have not been selected.
The properties pages of the models contain the versions dialog, in which the versions of the diagrams are listed. The diagram versions are also displayed on the Versions tab on the Explorer tab.
The change lists enable you to find out the version in which diagrams have been archived. The versioning state is explained in text form by the description. Change lists relate to the entire database and contain all diagrams that have been collectively versioned.
