Assign a template to an ARIS model type

You can assign a template to an ARIS model type. If a model of this type is created or imported from ARIS Express, the applied template is used automatically.

Prerequisite

You are a configuration administrator for this tenant.

Procedure. Procedure

  1. In ARIS Architect, click ARIS > Show Administration Administration.

  2. Click Navigation Navigation in the bar panel if the Navigation bar is not activated yet.

  3. In the navigation, click Configuration Configuration > Conventions Conventions.

  4. Double-click Conventions Templates.

  5. Right-click Conventions Applied templates and click New > Model template Assign default template. The Select model type dialog opens.

  6. Select the model type which you want to assign a template to.

  7. Click OK. The model type is listed in the Applied templates area.

  8. Double-click the row of the model type. The Select template dialog opens.

  9. Select the template you want to assign to the model type and click OK.

The name of the selected template is inserted on the right of the model type name and is used automatically when a model of this type is created.
